Hi Nicky (+ the wider Verve team),We just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know how grateful and thankful we both are for the effort and attention to detail that you and your staff put into making our day perfect. The food was unanimously praised by everyone. A special shout out to that pork and the bean dish, fantastic...The two wait staff that assisted during the afternoon were a massive help, as they made that 'unstructured' time during the grazing platter work amazingly well. And also thanks so much for keeping that thing topped up I think it definitely helped a few people get to the end of the night.All in all, I think everything went really well, and I don't think we could have had the day we had without the food being what it was, which was exactly how we envisaged it being. Nicky, I cannot thank you enough for helping to make our school such a success. Everyone was really impressed with how beautiful, tasty and healthy the food you and your team supplied was - and as I had hoped, that really set the tone of hospitality, welcome and generosity in the school.
Personally, I found you pleasant and so easy to work and communicate with. You and your team were very friendly, professional and willing to help over and above what we expected. Each day they left the venue so clean and tidy and the kitchen area secure. I would have no hesitation in engaging your services again or in recommending you to others - which I have already done!!! My friend may be in contact soon about her wedding next year!!

Wedding; Intimate family dinner for 20 then supper party for 155 guests at Innovation Park on 10 October 2015

When we presented our brief to Nicky which included a family style dinner for 20 and canapés for 155 supper guests – her reply was “yes we can do that and how would you like the mushrooms cooked?”!! Continuous Canapé birthday party at the clients home on 23 May 2015
I wanted to let you know how thrilled we were with the catering for our birthday celebration. The food was divine and we had many many comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed it. Georgia and Emily were brilliant. They may have told you we had a little issue with the oven deciding not to heat properly but they reported it to me calmly and professionally (and discretely) with a ‘plan B’ already in place. Fortunately the oven decided to behave although it presented a challenge for the girls to continually monitor the heat while I was able to continue on with our guests and no one was any the wiser. A huge part of the successful night was your wonderful food and the professionalism of the girls, cleaning and clearing as they went. Thank you also for your guidance and advice in deciding the menu and the little tips about timing on the night. It made all the difference to have your own staff present and serve the food and I would recommend that to anyone else if you want a stress free event.

A huge bouquet to you for the marvellous work you did for me on Saturday. I knew as soon as I met you that this would be a match made in heaven and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It was a very good move trusting you with the catering at my special afternoon tea and I was able to relax and enjoy my day. I was thrilled also at the seamless way Amy moved around the room with food platters and drink refills. By the time everyone had left and the dust had settled, it was a treat to see you had done such a good job of cleaning up after yourselves with not a dishcloth or scrap to be found. I have had many compliments on your work and hope that this brings results in future business.

Typical to our family things were a little unorganised … but you were wonderful Diahann. The food was all scrumptious, but we are still raving about the stuffed mushroom, that beef – and the salted caramel, yum yum yum! You seemed to produce it all by magic, but we really appreciate the work that went into preparing it for us, and then disappearing with all the dishes done. I have been organising Apollo’s Xmas Functions for the past 6 years and with the growth in our company I decided to engage Verve to help take some of the pressure off. I was blown away by their organisation and professionalism, the night ran like clockwork. Brenda was fantastic looking after the tables and wait staff who were all superb. No one was left at dinner with an empty glass as the wait staff were very proactive. Nicky brought together a fantastic menu that suited us perfectly we had people with food allergies and vegetarians and everyone was catered for. What can I say the food was absolutely amazing! If you have the option of Salmon with a Champagne & Green Peppercorn Sauce definitely include it without hesitation! I was so impressed with Verve that the very next week I booked them in for next year. I would highly recommend them for any type of occasion. If you want a stress free function you can’t go past Verve! Wedding for 65 guests at Rolleston Community Center
Nicky Catered our wedding back in April 2011. She went above and beyond considering she lost her premises in the red zone 10 weeks before the wedding and still kept positive and cheerful and willing to help us as we scrambled to rearrange a lot of our plans, including venue – from in town to Rolleston. The food was just stunning, nothing could be faulted, we chose an on-table buffet, with everyone getting platters of the different dishes to share amongst their neighbors. Everyone there raved about the food and the service of her team, even my brother-in-law who is an award winning Aussie chef, and is very picky. Nicky is fun, accommodating, ready to alter to please but great at making suggestions that work so well.
