We totally recommend Verve as a caterer for a wedding. We met with Nicky and from the get-go we could tell she was passionate and knowledgeable about food and catering. Hearing her say she would make sure there was plenty of food and no one would go home hungry was a biggie for us! We really had no idea what we wanted to serve our guests but discussing what we liked with Nicky and getting further ideas from her was invaluable. Her support along the way was great, no question was a dumb question!So at our wedding we had gorgeous looking and tasting canapes, followed by "fork and talk" style. Small bowls for guests to try a range of dishes- Mexican, Thai etc. We had LOADS of positive comments following the wedding about this fork and talk style. They loved the ability to stand and talk and move around and try the variety of tasty dishes. Having Nicky's bar staff was invaluable too. It made our food and drink part of the wedding really easy. When we presented our brief to Nicky which included a family style dinner for 20 and canapés for 155 supper guests – her reply was “yes we can do that and how would you like the mushrooms cooked?”!! Nicky and her team were an absolute delight to work with – nothing was a problem – our evening flowed smoothly and our guests were impressed with the food and service they received. Continuous Canapé birthday party at the clients home on 23 May 2015
Hello Nicky,
I wanted to let you know how thrilled we were with the catering for our birthday celebration. The food was divine and we had many many comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed it. Georgia and Emily were brilliant. They may have told you we had a little issue with the oven deciding not to heat properly but they reported it to me calmly and professionally (and discretely) with a ‘plan B’ already in place. Fortunately the oven decided to behave although it presented a challenge for the girls to continually monitor the heat while I was able to continue on with our guests and no one was any the wiser. A huge part of the successful night was your wonderful food and the professionalism of the girls, cleaning and clearing as they went. Thank you also for your guidance and advice in deciding the menu and the little tips about timing on the night. It made all the difference to have your own staff present and serve the food and I would recommend that to anyone else if you want a stress free event.

Everyone commented on how interesting all the different dishes were and also how tasty and fresh the food was. I know you spent some time on perfecting some of these dishes and they tasted so authentic (particularly the vine leaves and falafel where there can be a fine line between boring or delicious,) and yours were beautiful and delicious ! Both the salmon and lamb melted in the mouth. And the canapés beforehand were superb. Comment was also made by guests about your wonderful staff who were so professional and friendly, in particular Emily. I know Siobhan and Shaddi found you very helpful during the menu planning process and you went out of your way to accommodate their wishes. It was a very good move trusting you with the catering at my special afternoon tea and I was able to relax and enjoy my day. I was thrilled also at the seamless way Amy moved around the room with food platters and drink refills. By the time everyone had left and the dust had settled, it was a treat to see you had done such a good job of cleaning up after yourselves with not a dishcloth or scrap to be found.
